The 'auto-renew' feature is a standard billing feature on all Usenet accounts. This feature automatically bills the credit card on your account at the beginning of each new billing cycle for the rate plan that you have chosen. 'Auto-renew' can only be stopped, per our Terms of Service, by accessing your Giganews account through your personal Control Panel and canceling your service.
The 'auto-renew feature' is active on all accounts, and it is not affected by, nor does it have any effect on the second feature, 'auto-recycle'.
The 'auto-recycle' feature is designed to prevent the disruption of your service in the event that you exceed your account's GB access limit before the end of your current billing period. Please note, this only applies to accounts that have a GB access limit; since the Unlimited plans do not have an access limit, this rate plan will render this feature inactive/obsolete even though it may be listed as an active feature on your account.
If this feature is not enabled, and you have reached the GB access limit that is outlined in your current service plan, then a temporary hold on your Giganews service will occur. You will be unable to access Giganews until you either manually recycle your account by accessing it through your personal Control Panel, or by waiting until your monthly GB access limit is reset at the beginning of your next billing cycle.
Every time an account is either recycled or renewed, a new billing period begins.
