VyprDNS is enabled by default within our VyprVPN apps. To check to see if VyprDNS is selected, follow the instructions below for your respective platform.
VyprVPN for Windows
- With the VyprVPN app open and your active app, tap the Customize option in the lower-left corner of the app.
- Tap DNS within the VPN Settings section.
- Tap VyprDNS. If VyprDNS is already selected, then you are already using VyprDNS.
- Tap the back arrow in the upper left of the menu options twice to return to the main screen of the app.
VyprVPN for Mac
- With the VyprVPN app open and your active app, tap the Customize option in the lower-left corner of the app.
- Tap DNS within the VPN Settings section.
- Tap VyprDNS. If VyprDNS is already selected, then you are already using VyprDNS.
- Tap the back arrow in the upper left of the menu options twice to return to the main screen of the app.
VyprVPN for Android
- With the VyprVPN app open and your active app, tap the Customize option in the lower-left corner of the app.
- Tap DNS within the VPN Settings section.

- Tap the back arrow in the upper left of the menu options twice to return to the main screen of the app.
VyprVPN for iOS
When connected to our VPN servers using our VyprVPN for iOS app, you will always be using VyprDNS.
VyprVPN for Amazon Fire Stick/TV
- With the VyprVPN app open and your active app, click the Settings icon (gear/cog) in the upper right of the app.
- Tap DNS within the VPN Settings section.
- Tap VyprDNS. If VyprDNS is already selected, then you are already using VyprDNS.
VyprVPN Router App
- Log into your router settings.
- Click Basic in the left-hand menu.
- Click Network.
- Find Static DNS and enter 0.0.0.0 for all DNS address fields for Static DNS.
- Scroll to the bottom and click the Save button.
