If you cannot send email via your email client software, then there could be a few reasons why. Please attempt to resolve this issue using the solutions below.
Solution 1: Changing to Port 587
- Change the SMTP port in your email client from the default of 25 to 587.
In order to prevent spam activity being performed over our network, we have enabled a block on SMTP port 25. We have made exceptions for authenticated email providers, such as Gmail and Yahoo.
To learn how to change settings within your email client, please consult the support knowledge base for your email client software.
Solution 2: Use Web-based Email
- Access your ISP's web-based email.
ISPs often restrict access to their email server to their own IP address ranges. When connected with VyprVPN, your ISP's IP address will be changed to a VyprVPN IP address.
You will need to contact your ISP to ask them how to check your email from a remote location. This is typically called "webmail."
