If you receive an error that states there is possible account sharing, this is commonly caused by Giganews detecting two different IP addresses being used while downloading. If you are accessing our Usenet services from two separate devices, please be aware we only allow one IP to connect and download at any given time for a single account.
Additionally, if you are only using the one device and you are still receiving the error, then make sure you aren't using a VPN that has just recently connected or disconnected. Having a VPN connect/disconnect, causes you to obtain a new IP address which can trigger this error.
Lastly, if you aren't using two different devices, nor are you using a VPN on your device, then there could be a chance that someone else has access to your account. If you think this might be the case, we advise that you reset your password for your account.
(Note: You'll need to wait upwards of 30 minutes after changing your password before being able to access your service again)
